Waitemata Motorcycle Club Inc has been in existence since 1972. Originally an offshoot of the North Shore Motorcycle Club it became its own stand alone club in 1978. The clubs roots in those days were MX, Hare n Hounds, Trials and Enduros. Forest usage was very strictly controlled back then, riding in the trees was not allowed, fire breaks only and arrows were not permitted on the trees.

The easy way- turn up on a 'Club Race Day' with a bike and suitable riding gear, join the Club ($20.00), take out a one event licence ($15.00), pay your event entry fee, ensure your bike is well muffled and safe, and that's all it takes- you can take out up to 4 day licenses per year and if you decide to go for the full licence present 2 day licence forms to MNZ and receive a $30.00 rebate. 2.
